Odisha Book Online Essay Competition



Odishabook.com has announced an essay competition. Odisha Book Online Essay Competition is one of the key initiatives undertaken by the Indumatee Media to motivate the Students. The essay competition is scheduled to be held in English language only.

Topic for the Essay Competition is “Importance of Computer Education”.

Rules of Essay Competition: 
1. No entry fee, Contest is open to students of India. 
2. Competition will be for School & College Students under the age of 24 years. 
3. Qualification is School Children of Class 11th & 12th/ Students pursuing ITI or Diploma/ College Students pursuing Graduate, B.E or B. Tech. 
4. The Essay must be between 500 and 700 words. 
5. The essay should be sent in the word format with 12 font size. It should carry the name of the author, date of birth, qualification, Address, Mobile number/Telephone number (along with STD code) and e mail ID. 
6. The author will be solely responsible for any violation of the Copyright Act where the material submitted for the competition is not original. 
7. Entry should be an individual effort and not a combined work. 
8. Entries are to be submitted via the online, no offline entry. 
9. The entries will be judged by the organizers with the help of a jury. The judges' decision will be final. 
10. All entries for the Competition should be submitted by email to odishabookcompetitions@gmail.com 
11. Cash Prizes will be Pay through Cheque/Draft/Money order and Gift Hampers, merit certificates which will be sent via Regd. post or courier. 
12. We hold the rights to cancel any entry without any prior information and clarification. 
13. Winners will be notified via e-mail or by post. 
14. A list of prize-winners and the prize-winning essays will be published in Odisha Book online portal. 

Prize Details: 
• First Prize: Rs.3000/- in cash 
• Second Prize: Rs.2000/- in cash 
• Third Prize: Rs.1000/- in cash 
• 20 Consolation Prizes: Gift Hampers & Books (Rs.200/-) each 
All the winners of above prize(s) shall also be awarded a certificate of merit. 

Important Dates: 
• Last Date for receiving Essay: 15th April 2014 
• Declaration of Award Winners: 31st May 2014

Dr. Mohapatra Nilamani Sahoo (Chief Guest), Smt. Gita Hota (President of Kalinga Book Fair) and Mrs. Renuka Mishra (Secretary of Kalinga Book Fair) and Press Reporters were present.
